About Park Place Outreach
About Us
Based on statistics from the National Conference of State Legislatures, an estimated 4.2 million youth and young adults experience homelessness in the United States each year, 700,000 of whom are unaccompanied minors.
That means approximately one in 10 adults ages 8 to 25 and one in 30 youth ages 13 to 17 will experience homelessness each year. More and more young people are experiencing crises that put them at risk for housing instability.
The young people in our community, sadly, are not immune. In the city of Savannah, one in four families live in poverty. Every school in Chatham County has students – on average more than 1,000 total – experiencing some sort of homelessness.
That’s where Park Place Outreach steps in. Park Place Outreach, Inc., is in the business of changing lives, giving hope and improving odds by ensuring that youth have access to safety, guidance and caring adults.
Park Place Outreach is licensed by the Georgia Department of Human Services, certified by the Chatham-Savannah Authority for the Homeless, and is supported in part by the City of Savannah and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families. Park Place is also an accredited agency by the Council of Accreditation (COA) an approved accrediting body for QRTPs under the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA).
Park Place Outreach does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, or income.
